" Opening night...
It's opening night!
It's Max Bialystock's Larry Lowe's latest show
Will it flop or will it go?
The cast is taking its final bow
Here comes the audience now
The doors are open: they're on their way...
Let's hear what they have to say!"

I forgot to throw a flyer up this week.... so here it is, kinda late

Playing at Lowe's Theater
A night of one act plays
Directed by: Larry Lowe

This thanksgiving season, treat yourself to a nice turkey with some gravy and cranberry sauce, and then in the following days (after sleeping off all that food) gather up your friends and family and enjoy some live, quality Entertainment. The 2006 LEHS Drama club will be presenting three one act plays this friday and saturday, November 24th and 25th.

The first play is a 17th century set play by Cervantes. The Marvelous Playbill will be sure to bring laughter as this Spanish influenced play is performed before you, that is...if you can prove yourself a true Castillan and wittness the beauty of it.

Also being represented is the 19th century Russian piece, The Wedding Reception, by Chekov. All is going well when the happily married couple's families get together, that is...if you consider feuding father-in-laws, crooked caterers and a hyperventilating new bride "well".

And to wrap up the night, the cast and crew presents the contemporary piece by Stephen Gregg, This is a test. Alan is your regular, every day high-school student who crammed the night before a big test. As his nerves start to take him over, and paranoia sets in, Alan blames it all on his caffine intake but that doesn't account for parts of the test being in...Chinese?

So bring your friends and family to this once-in-a-lifetime event. Here are the vitals.

Who: LEHS Drama Club
What: A Night of One Act Plays
When: Friday, November 24, and Saturday, November 25. House opens at 7:30 PM, Curtain rises at 8:00.
Where: The Lynn English High School Theater. Lynn, MA, 01902. 150 Goodridge Street.
How much: Tickets are 5$ @ the door.

(Refreshments will be served during intermission.)

quick update before I go to work in like 3 minutes.

I woke up at 8, wanted to go back to sleep...but from 8-9, Angry Beavers are on.

So I watched them, then at 9:15, after one episode of Jimmy Neutron, I took a shower, then watched more Jimmy from 9;30-10:00.
Then from 10-10:15 I watched one episode of Fairly Oddparents (getting dressed during commercials.)

I love cartoons because they keep my young. I dont want to mature too quickly, so they give me stupid humor, which is not always a bad thing =)

then I bladed to Eric's, and we played tennis.

We warmed up for like 15 minutes, then started a match.
It went really quick, 45-50 minutes. I won 6-4!!
I haven't beaten Eric all summer, but I've been getting increasingly better! wahoo!
so now we're ready to take on any team. rawr! we both play really well. I did amazing though, I'm proud of myself.

I had so many smash shots, and most of my serves I got in on the first serve, and sweet ones too. Ya know, inside-service line- corner! woohoo.

Then we did our usual Wendy's run, then went back to his house and played Baseball (video game) and Animal Crossing. Then I bladed home. fun times. it keeps me sane.

now I'm off to work, and I hear Meg is gonna visit me! woohoo!

I'll be back around 8:30.

peace lovahs <3

Most of you know I've had no friends until I went into high school.

But I did have one friend.
She lived on the first floor of my apartment which I lived in until 2002.
Her name was Arlene Roach.
She was an older lady, probably be around mid-50's right around now. And her and my parents didn't get along alot of the time. But I liked her alot, she was my friend. On some days she'd babysit me. I'm pretty sure she got paid, but she mostly did it cause she thought I was cool, and liked to be around me. She owned 2 or 3 cats, and a dog from time to time, and I loved her pets. I remember so many Christmases where I'd run downstairs and give her a present, or slide a card under her door. I remember the inside jokes we had, and the many times we'd sit on the back porch and grill stuff. She was the first person to introduce me to shrimp, and to raw onions.
She shared my love for oldies.

She was the only person outside of family I could relate to.

Then when it came time for the house to be basicaly evicted, since the landlord sold the apartment, we had 30 days to move. We moved out fairly quickly. My parents didn't like Arlene at the time and hoped never to see her.

We found out she moved to the apartment above Medditteranean.

Each time I went there, I'd always hope to see her, to give her a huge hug and to see her. and more importantly for her to see me. She always wanted to see me grow up.

My dad actually ran into her a few months ago. He said she had a hat on, but it was because she was balding. We speculated that she had cancer, and it was from the chemo.
She asked about me.

I find out today that my mom was looking through some archives for no reason, and brought up a newspaper from last wednesday, and there was her obituary.

I wish I had asked for her before she left us.
I really wanted to see her at least one more time.

R.I.P
Arlene.

I love how, you can be having a crappy day. Terribly crappy day. heck, a crappy month or year or whatever...and then there are those people in your life, that just make you smile. Today was a sucky day, but I was in a good mood. I'd like to thank each and every one of you for making my life something special. You all know who you are. And if you're not sure, think about today. If I saw you today, and you made me laugh, or smile...then thank you so much! That's just what everyone needs in life.
They need:
Laughter
Song
Dance
Affection
Communication
Experience
Insight
Revelation
Consistency
Relaxation

Without those 10 things, I feel a day is not complete, and is merely a void of time in which nothing is accomplished.

Today I felt every one of those 10.

I thank each and every one of you for being in my life

-James

So yea, today was bitter-sweet
More sweet than bitter of course.

so let's first go through the day
Before School~
One of my best friends now has a significant other =) I'm proud of them.

Theater Arts~
Wrote my paper, talked with Lowe. Always a good time.

Physics~
Learned about Torque. I love Physics! And I also found out stuff about next month's Science League. It's gonna be hard.

History~
THE BIG DEBATE. I debated my ASS off...only to lose to the group who barely spoke. Damn democratic Majority Rules voting system.

Chorus~
Sung for a bit, and began the saga of The Mystery of the Trevor and the Rose Woman.

Algebra LONG BLOCK~
Zeoli wasn't TOO bad...The stuff we're doing isn't all too boring.

Lunch~
Got Naomi mad at me =( =( =(
Fixed a friend's problem

English~
Did some analyzing, got to speak my opinion...twas fun.

After school~
Official Life Club...let me tell you, it was pretty deep today. It was fun. Not to be narcissistic (Fix that spelling Amanda), but I love speaking. The topic today was Purpose. If you want to discuss about it, talk to me =).
Hmm, then after that, I came home...took off my shoes, kicked back and drank like 5 cans of DP. Twas my day...pretty sweet

But the bitter? My great uncle died and my great aunt broke 4 ribs.

Tomorrow's gonna be an excellent day. Not only a good school schedual, but after school, I'm DDR'ing it up with my main G-dawg Trevor St. Pierre, and then we're booking it to Dramafest where we figure out what our parts are! woot.
